There
have been massive changes in the Music Industry over the
last 8 weeks! Creating a big change, Irving Azoff has sold
a majority of his company, Front Line Management to Ticketmaster.
Azoff will be the new CEO of Ticketmaster Entertainment.
Manager Benny Medina is closing his management company,
Handprint Entertainment. Geffen has opened a UK division
of the label to be run by Colin Barlow that will also develop
a Publishing and Artist Management Division as well as a
Television Production arm. On the A&R front, head of
A&R Andy Karp along with Brian Berger and Damon Eden
have left Atlantic Records. Taking Andy's place as the new
head of Atlantic's A&R Department is Pete Ganbarg. Also
joining Atlantic in California is Raj Jedeja. Jason Flom
joins Universal Republic and Carole Ann Mobley joins Warner
Bros. in Nashville. Back in the UK, both Korda Marshall
and Rose Noone exit Warner Bros. UK while Martin Dodd exits
Sony/BMG, Chris Sharp exits 4AD and Lincoln Elias exits
Virgin. Back in the U.S. on the West Coast, Colin Stanback
leaves Concord.
